Mountain Vista Golden Eagle Wrestling Club Philosophy The Mountain Vista Golden Eagle Wrestling Clubʼs goal is to maintain a program continuum of skills and character development beginning at kindergarten and continuing through 8th grade. Our philosophy of “athletes come first, winning comes second” allows us to focus on the development of the individual athlete rather than the number of matches they win. Our program is intended to produce confident, self-reliant young adults who understand how to set and achieve personal goals in life through the sport of wrestling. Our intent is to introduce athletes to the great sport of wrestling and to develop basic wrestling and athletic skills as well as good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and respect. Our focus is to wrestle to the best of our ability and continuously work on developing skills and learn valuable life lessons of accomplishment and setbacks. Our club is committed to providing a positive environment. Our coaches and wrestlers are dedicated to working towards achieving the highest level of individual and team success. We believe that great wrestlers do not depend upon flashy or highly complicated techniques to win. Our coaching approach utilizes the application of lower-risk/high success rate techniques that give our wrestlers the best opportunity to compete and become champions. Our club has a great deal of passion for the sport of wrestling. We believe that the consistent application of this framework will allow our wrestlers the ability to develop the skills necessary to compete at any level. We are the Future of Mountain Vista Wrestling
