WRESTLING TOURNAMENT

Location
The end of season South Suburban Youth Wrestling Tournament will be held at ThunderRidge on Sunday, February 5, 2011.  ThunderRidge High School is located at 1991 Wildcat Reserve Parkway in Highlands Ranch, CO 80129

Directions:
From C-470 and Lucent Blvd go south to North Highlands Ranch Parkway. Turn right heading west to Wildcat Reserve Parkway.  Turn left going south, school will be on your left.

Doors will open at 9:30 am.  Each wrestler must check in at the designated table before the deadline for his age group.  Registration for the tournament will be done online by the coach ahead of time.  You must register ahead of time with your coach, no walk up registration.

Wrestling for 8&U, 12&U, 14&U: will begin approx 12:30 – 3:00 pm

Cost
There will be a $2.00 charge for adults at the door.
Doors will not open until 9:30 am.  Please do not try to enter plan on entering the school before hand.

Weight Class and Age Division
Age division includes 6 & under, 8 & under, 10 & under, 12 & under, and 14 & under.  Brackets will be developed by age, weight and years of experience (as much as possible). 6&U, 8&U will be a four man bracket, 10&U, 12&U, and 14&U will be an 8 man bracket.  Your age for this tournament is defined by your age on September 1, 2011.

No Coaching at Mat Side-This will be strictly enforced
As coaches we want wrestling to be a fun and pleasurable experience for your son.  We encourage you to stay in the bleachers and cheer for your favorite wrestler.  We ask that you do not go to the mat side and coach your son.

All wrestlers are required to wear a singlet during weigh-ins, with no weight allowance. All wrestlers must pay entry fee, register and weigh in on Saturday February 11, 2012. .No exceptions!!!

Non- League Member – Valid birth certificate or Valid Passport - NO Exceptions will be made!

Straight Line Brackets, Modified Blind Draw, *Wrestle Backs, No Double Bracketing, Numbered matches, Brackets with three (3) or less wrestlers will be combined by the bracketing room staff with due consideration given to actual age and weight. NO wrestler will be moved more then one weight class or one age group without a coach and/or parents approval. *Maximum of 6 matches will be wrestled, except if a wrestle back is necessary then a 7th match will be allowed. NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER 8:30am.

Referees/Trainer: Certified High School Referees and Certified Trainer on duty for the duration of the tournament.
